Kelly Knight: Seasoned Village Properties Agent and Advocate for Education

A native of Maine, Kelly earned a degree in business from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania; she later moved to California, where she received her law degree. Thanks to her legal background and mediation training, Kelly is adept at handling all aspects of a real estate transaction: from presentation of an offer, through the nuances of negotiation, and through the closing of escrow. Kelly’s training and experience also allows her to present her clients with solutions and opportunities that only someone as well versed as she is in real estate law could provide.

Along with her commitment as a trusted agent with Village Properties, Kelly is also dedicated to raising awareness for the importance of education. Kelly was recently named to the Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors Santa Barbara, CA; she also sits on the Board of the Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County. Additionally, Kelly is a Trustee of Santa Barbara Middle School, a private school for grades 6-9 that was established in 1976.

Kelly’s most recent achievement with the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara resonates deeply with her as her own son, Evan, was a recipient of a merit scholarship through the foundation last year. This May 22nd, Evan will be speaking as one of the 3 guest speakers at the May Annual Dinner. For the Scholarship Foundation, Kelly serves on the Development and Governance Committees, and also interviews students applying for scholarships during the months of February and March. She is grateful for the opportunity and feels rewarded helping today’s youth to achieve their education goals.

“Kelly brings a wealth of unique skills and experience to the Foundation Board, and is passionate about helping local students get to and complete college. She has a reputation for getting things done, and I very much look forward to working with her.” -- Scholarship Foundation President and CEO Candace Winkler.
